Raven began her piercing career in 1996 with a full apprenticeship,

including anatomy and physiology training, metallurgy, aseptic and sterile technique, aesthetic placement, trouble shooting problematic piercing, and advanced piercing techniques. She learned the importance of "continuing education" in the body piercing field. This inspired her to participate at the Annual Association of Professional Piercers convention/seminar regularly. She formed a large network of resources, allowing her to stay up-to-date on jewelry designs and styles, after-care, and different piercing techniques. Raven is currently certified by the American Red Cross for training in Adult CPR and First Aid Basics as well as the Blood Borne Pathogens course by the National Safety Council.

Raven has lived and worked as a piercer her entire adult life. Raven has worked with many reputable piercers and studios throughout her career, that uphold A.P.P standards and practices. She has done professionally licensed piercing in every single state in the United States. Traveling to these high end studios helps her stay current in the rapidly evolving field of body piercing. Raven has maintained a status of reputable, professional and knowledgeable body piercer. Raven started tattooing full time in 2021. Naturally drawn to tattooing by being surrounded throughout her career, with a little help from her friends, was given the opportunity to build her skills a tattoo artist, she says she has "found her happy place" being machine in had, needle to skin.
